Getting started again

Well, I haven't contributed much to the new musical in a while, but August has!  He has completed the first draft of the script.  We talked on the phone about where we want to go next with the script.  We want to work on developing some of the characters and some of the sub-plots, but that will mostly be August working on that.  It's about time that I wrote a few more songs!  I'm working on my dissertation right now, so I'm not sure how quickly I'll get to it, but as soon as the dissertation is done, this will rise in my list of priorities.

In the mean time, I found my old tape of Bird Millman, which August and I collaborated on in 2002.  Below is a video of the premiere production in Canon City, Colorado in April 2002.  It was taped with a video camcorder, so I had to go to the IT department at my school to get the tape transferred to DVD.  Then I had to extract the video from the DVD to my computer so I could upload it to YouTube.  Long process, but worth it to preserve the footage!
